June is over already, can you believe it? It is seriously so scary how fast the year goes by and I find that the older I get the faster it goes, does anyone else feel like this?

Anyway, here are some of my favourite things from the month of June.

Top 4 Instagram Snaps

Colder Weather

By some miracle, winter came early this year where I live. You're probably thinking, but Ali it's June, it's already winter so it didn't come early at all. You'd be right in thinking that, but I live in the tropics of North Queensland and usually we don't get 'winter' until July and it last's for only a week. But this year the weather gods graced us with cool weather early and many nights in June were spent snuggled on the couch in a blanket.

The coldest it got to at night was 4°C and then during the day it was still hitting our usual 25°C - 27°C. It was just so nice and now July has started and it's only getting down to 18°C at night, and I want it colder.

If you couldn't tell I love the cold, it also allows me to wear some of my jumpers/hoodies, I own too many of them and never get to wear them since I live in one of the hottest places - not a wise choice by me.

Basin Bath Bombs

Thanks to the lovely cold weather I've been enjoying more baths than usual. It's strange, when I was younger I used to hear adults say 'I'm so excited to have a bath' and I used to think that was the weirdest thing ever - how could someone be excited for a bath?! But then I got older and I realised baths are so relaxing and lying in a bath doing nothing is one of the best things in the world, younger me would completely disagree.

Anyway, while at Disney World last year in October I visit Basin and spent too much money, but it was worth it. I bought one of their Bath Bomb Barrel's and during June I was able to use so many of them it was amazing. There is just something about adding a bath bomb to your bath and watching it slowly fizzle away, making it smell amazing and leaving the water a really pretty colour.

Ugh, I'm sort of disgusted in myself that I've become this person but no regrets, baths and bath bombs are the best.

Love Island Australia

I talked about this show last month but that's it, it's finally over and it literally took up my entire June. I fell so behind on my blogs, vlogs and other TV shows all because of this show. I had to watch it at 8.30pm Sunday - Thursday and obviously had to join in on the Twitter chat. I apologise now if you follow me on Twitter and had to deal with my copious amount of tweets.

But it was just so good! My favourite part was the voice over guy and the Twitter chat, and I loved complaining about people I don't know but judged anyway, I give all the contestants massive props, I couldn't do that. But last night the couple I wanted to win, won and I couldn't be happier. It was Grant and Tayla by the way which was such a weird turn of events because in the beginning I really disliked them.

Anyway, I'm going to miss this show, I'm going to miss the Twitter chat and I can't wait to watch it again next year. Was anyone else horrible addicted? Or maybe your from the UK and you're addicted to your own version? I've been avoiding it, I can't get sucked in again.

Movies at the Movies

I went to the movies a lot in June, well maybe not a lot but two movies in one month is a lot for me. Obviously I had to go see The Incredibles 2, we'd been waiting over 10 years for that movie and it did not disappoint. In my opinion, it was better than the first, I know a bit controversial but I think the story-line was better and it was by far more funnier.

It was funny, my sister and I got to the cinema about 40 minutes before the movie was to start. We grabbed some drinks and popcorn and waited for our cinema number to be called. Due to going on opening night a massive queue formed behind us - keep in mind this was 8.30pm on a Thursday night. A guy came out of his cinema to use the restroom and on the way back he walked up to my sister and I and asked what the queue was for and if something special was happening. The look on his face when we replied with 'we are all just here to see Indrecidbles 2' was hilarious. I don't think he expected to see a queue of 100 adults waiting to see a 'kids' film, yes there were no kids there - it was fantastic.

I also went to see Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom. I love all the Jurassic Park movies as I grew up with them, so of course I feel the need to watch the new ones. It was your typical Jurassic Park movie, but it made me cry - a lot! I never thought I'd cry so much for an extinct species that no longer walk this planet, but I did and I know I wasn't the only one. Still even though I was bawling, it was a good film, nothing mind blowing but it was what I expected so I was happy.

Song of the Month

All the Stars by Kendrick Lamar ft. SZA

I kept hearing this song on the radio and it took me forever to realise it was the song played during the credits of Black Panther. I might've killed this song during June I played it that much.

Wow, I think that was the most I've ever written! So let me know in the comments, what were some of your favourite things during June?

Guys, where has the year gone, I can't believe May is over already! Anyway, here are a few of my favourite things from the past month.

Top 4 Instagram Snaps

Planning Disney World 2018

So as you may or may not know I'm going back to Disney World this year! Main reason is for my sisters 21st, as she didn't want any gifts and we thought it made sense to go back when she turned 21 as she can finally drink there - legal drinking age in Australia is 18 (FYI).

So a lot of May has been spent vaguely figuring out what days we'd spend in what parks and of course deciding where we want to eat. We reached our 180 day mark right at the end of May, so we really needed to get that sorted as many Disney World fans would know restaurant reservations can fill up if you don't book them asap.

I know some people get stressed over the planning of Disney World, this is why a lot of Australians I know prefer to go to Disneyland. But for me I thrive on the planning, I love it! I honestly think my back up career should be a travel planner because I seriously love figuring out how to get somewhere, researching where to eat etc.

Not going to lie, this may have been the highlight of my month.

Lightroom Mobile App

So, I love editing photos and I don't mean over editing, I mean adjusting colours, saturation, brightness - that's what I love. For the longest time I'd been using Afterlight, which is a great program, until I discovered Lightroom for your mobile.

Lightroom is an Adobe product part of their creative suite, it's what I use on my computer to edit photos and in my opinion is the best program to adjust colours in a photo. I'm so happy I discovered it on mobile because my Instagram photos have gone from meh to BAM colour and it's beautiful. See the before and after below! (Ignore the tap text, these were the images in my instagram story)

Love Island Australia

So this show is one of the trashiest shows I've ever witnessed, but it's so damn good I can't not watch. I follow a lot of UK people on Twitter and I saw all their tweets when the original Love Island aired over there. I wondered how on earth they could be addicted to such a trashy crap show, that's what it sounded like anyway. Until I finally watched it and realised it's just so addictive you can't look away.

I can't be the only one addicted, right?

Song of the Month

This Is America by Childish Gambino

If you haven't heard this song where have you been?! It's genius. The video clip is amazing and deserves all the awards. Seriously if you are yet to listen, click the play button above and enjoy.

What have been some of your favourite things during the month of May? Comment below!

The Crown
It's like every month I have a new TV show I'm addicted to and this month it's The Crown, I know I'm incredibly late to the party. I actually started watching it in Europe, but only got 2 episodes in and then I was too busy to watch anymore.

When it first got recommended to me, what feels like years ago, I thought I would hate it as I've never been a massive fan of the royals, nor do I care much for what they do etc. But then I watched Victoria so I thought what the heck lets give it a shot - and friends, it has not disappointed.

Every episode leaves me wanting more: the acting is amazing, the script so well written and I know it's not all true and most likely highly dramatised but I don't care, it's damn good drama. I'm currently up to episode nine of season one and can guarantee once I've finished writing this blog post I'll be back to Netflix watching more.

Gold Coast Commonwealth Games
So I got my sports fix by watching the Commonwealth Games for nearly two weeks. Every night, and even at work, I was watching. For some you may think, wow you actually care? Yeah for some reason when the Olympics of Commonwealth Games are on, my family watches it. From swimming to cycling, netball to athletics - I watch it all.

Now not trying to take away from the near two weeks of amazing sport that was played but the closing ceremony, my friends what was that? It was like watching an incredibly slow train-wreck and there was nothing that Australia could do but sit at their televisions shaking their head in disbelief - or some were like me venting on Twitter. It was so bad, the organiser even had to apologise. The best part of telecast was the commentators ripping into the ceremony at the end, if you want to watch something funny go find it on YouTube.

Now why am I adding this to my monthly favs? Well the Comm Games was something I loved about April, I just couldn't not mention that horrendous ceremony, if it even was a ceremony.

Song of the Month

Levels by Avicii
After sadly hearing of the passing of one of the greatest artists I've ever seen live I've been listening to a heap Avicii songs. Levels takes me back and is just such a banger I've pretty much had it on repeat. I'm so grateful I was able to see this talented young man play live and I'm saddened that we will never get to hear another amazing Avicii tune.

Vampire Diaries
I love The Vampire Diaries, well at least I did when it first came out, let's not lie to ourselves it really started going downhill from about season five. So I started re-watching the entire series, mainly because season eight finally became available on Netflix Australia and even though it literally made me fall asleep in season seven, I have to finish the series.

Before we go any further, I'm a Stephan fan and nothing you say will change my opinion. Maybe that's why I also started disliking the show - haha. I also know how the show ends and I'm not happy about it.

But re-watching it from the beginning has made me fall in love with the show all over again. I forgot so much had actually happened and it's been good to watch it again.

Instagram Stories
I remember when Instagram Stories first came out and I hated it, why did they do that when we all had Snapchat? Well the tables have turned, I don't know many people that still use Snapchat and I don't either - besides to use their filters to then post on Instagram Stories (c'mon Instagram pick up your filter game).

But Insta Stories have really grown on me, only downside is it takes me forever to catch up with everyone's stories at the end of the day. Anyone else loving Insta Stories over Snapchat?

Song of the Month

River by Eminem ft. Ed Sheeran
So this has been the song I've been blaring in my car for the past month. I love Eminem and then throw in an Ed Sheeran chorus and you have a pretty damn perfect song.

Europe
I started the new year, and new month, doing what I love most - travelling. I was lucky enough to be over in Europe, having the time of my life with my 3 best friends from high school.

Europe is absolutely stunning, and even though I went in winter it was still beautiful. I got to tick of many countries on my list and now know which ones I'd want to go back to if I ever went back. It was worth saving extra hard and staying for 5 weeks, seriously guys the near 30 hours of flying isn't worth it for such a small amount of time.

I highly recommend every explores bits of Europe at least once in their lifetime. It is so rich in history, and beautiful country sides and cities - seriously I could go on forever but I intend to do a few blog posts about it so keep a look out.

Victoria
While packing for my Europe trip in December I begun watching the TV series Victoria on Netflix, I only got 2 episodes in and was going to leave it at that till I returned.

I then found the whole first season on my flight to London and on the way back from Paris to Australia they had the whole second season, so I had a nice little binge during my 14 hour flights.

If you haven't heard of Victoria it's a historial period drama set back during the reign of Queen Victoria of England. Season one follows her from finding out she becomes Queen, to being crowned and then married. Season two is her life whilst married with kids and juggling an entire country.

I love history, so found it quite easy to get into. The main actress Jenna Coleman who plays Queen Victoria is amazing and plays the part incredibly well, so does the actor of Prince Albert, Tom Hughes.

Really it's a brilliant show and I can't wait for season three.

Song of the Month

I Fall Apart by Post Malone
I blame my bus driver on the Topdeck tour I went on, as I swear we heard this song every damn day we were on that bus and now I'm obsessed. What's been your favourite song of January?

Disney Trip 2017

So in September and October I finally went back to the most magical place on earth, and a Disney Cruise. I had the most amazing 3 weeks with my sister and cousins, and I'll forever cherish the memories we made.

I know a lot of people say 'isn't Disney for kids?' Well no, it's not. It's my happy place and why wouldn't I continue to go back to somewhere that makes me smile and yes, it makes me feel like a little kid. Not to mention it's 5 star service, every cast member is beyond amazing, the parks are breathtaking and don't even get me started on the resorts.

I can't wait to go back someday, next year would be amazing but I'm not holding my breath. Next time I'd love to go at Christmas time. I freaking loved the Halloween decorations and the party, and I seriously can't wait to see it and the most wonderful time of the year, and my favourite time of year - Christmas.

Also, I vlogged my entire trip! Vlogs are coming out weekly, so if you're interested go check out my YouTube channel.

Stranger Things

This show is everything! Okay, if you haven't watched it yet - spoilers up ahead.

I binged this show for 9 hours straight immediately when it was released on October 27, at 5pm in Australia - which really was the best time cause it meant I could come home from work and stay up till 2am taking it all in, and take it all in I did.

Firstly, we can forget episode 7. I get they wanted to introduce another girl that was in the same place as Eleven, but I hated it, and I think I'm not alone. The only good thing to come out of this was El's new Bitchin' look.

Next can we talk about how adorable Hopper and Eleven are?! Ugh, he is just looking out for her and it's so beautiful and you know he looks at her like a daughter now - like the one he lost. I just can't even. I hope in the next season we get to see more of them together. Their scenes literally were amazing, even when they fought and Hopper had no chance standing up against El's powers but he stood firm like a father would and deep down you knew everything he was doing was for her.

Okay, now let's talk about the BEST MOMENT OF THE ENTIRE SEASON! Mike and Eleven's reunion. OMG, just perfection. The look on Mike's face is everything - seriously Finn is an outstanding actor, hell all the kids are - wait no the entire cast is amazing. But Finn and Millie just nail it. I cried at this moment. I knew it was El outside, and just seeing Mike and seeing them hug, just talking about it makes me want to watch it again. I hope in season 3 we see them together more. In season 1 I loved every scene with the boys and El, and I really missed this in season 2. It killed me I had to wait until the end of episode 8 for a god damn reunion!

Alright, let's talk Steve. I loved him in season 1, but this season he was just on another level. And how dare Nancy dump him!? Okay, I get it she feels something for Jonathan, but please how could you not love Steve? Especially after he turns into the best babysitter ever and helps the kids kick ass. And when he is giving Dustin advice and at the end Steve is the one that drives him to the dance - oh god, I lost it. I love the 2 of them. He better stick around for the next season. I need to see more Steve hanging with the kids. And maybe he can get back with Nancy?

Okay, and you can tell I could keep going on forever about this show. So I'm going to stop now. But if you've never watched Stranger Things, get off this blog now and go start binging. Seriously best show ever in the longest time!

Song of the Month

Praying by Kesha

This is such a powerful and beautiful song. So glad Kesha is back, her voice is unbelievable and I can't wait to hear her other songs.

A Court of Thorns and Roses Series

I finally finished this series - and wow, did this series end with a bang!

This series took you on a crazy adventure, but I loved every minute of it. If you love fantasy novels and you're yet to read this book, go buy it now. I went from loving one character, to then hating them and loving another, my emotions went all over the place.

If you don't know what this series is about well, it's about a young girl named Feyre, who pretty much does everything for her family. One day she is out hunting and she kills a wolf, but it wasn't just a wolf, it was a faerie. So of course she gets taken from her home by a high lord of the land where fae live. She then falls in love, finds out secrets and defends this land she barely knows.

I'm super bad at describing things but trust me, it's amazing. Also I'm so in love with Rhysand (Rhys) from this series ugh god, he is just amazing.

Time off Work

I finally had a week off work - and it was amazing! I hadn't had at least a week off from work since May 2016, so I was pretty damn excited about it.

My family from NSW came to visit and we didn't do much, just hung around the house and occasionally ventured off elsewhere. I forgot how good it felt to do nothing and have no alarm set for the next day. Safe to say it was a great week.

I enjoyed my week off so much that for two weeks after it I'd barely been on social media, edited no videos and didn't write any blog posts. It was a good reminder that sometimes it's good to step away from everything, take some mental health days and don't put any pressure on yourself.

Shadowhunters

I have a love/hate relationship for this show.

Let me start by saying I loved the books by Cassandra Clare. I remember when the movie came out and I was so excited, only to be left disappointed - let's be real, it wasn't a great movie. But, at least the movie actually sticks to the storyline, unlike the TV show.

Okay, I get it. Often TV shows are different from the books but they changed so much in this show to me it barely resembles the books that I love. But, I still watch it, and it came back in June. I think I keep hoping it will get better and scenes from the book will finally make it into the show and well because I damn love Clace...but it still disappoints. Every. Damn. Time.

I'll still watch it though, even though I need to be honest I'm not that impressed by it. Like I said, love/hate relationship.

Touch by Little Mix

Little Mix are really killing it right now - they have so many good songs!

The 100

I watched The 100 when it first aired years ago, and waited every week for a new episode. It was at the end of Season 2, when I then had to wait for Season 3, that I had so many other TV Shows I wanted watch I never got back to it. Well this month, thanks to Netflix, I binge watched the entire Season 3 and now only have 2 episodes left of Season 4.

I love this series, though I'm a big fan of post-apocalyptic and sci-fi TV shows (& movies). Pretty much if you don't know what it's about - the series follows a group of teens as they are the first people from space to return to Earth after a devastating nuclear  apocalypse. So they have to try and survive on Earth without knowing it's survivable and without adults.

It's such a good TV show, and I get it's not everyone's cup of tea, but if this sounds like something you'd like and you haven't seen it - watch it. It's based off a book series which I'm yet to read but will hopefully get to it soon.

Quay Sunglasses

You know how some girls collect shoes or bags? Yeah well, I've always had a big sunglasses collection. I've seen Quay Sunglasses everywhere for the past year it feels like and I finally decided to get myself some. I bought Sorority Princess and Game Over and I'm in love! (see pics below) Plus I ordered them and got them within a week, this is big for someone who lives in Australia, stuff doesn't usually send that fast. They are so comfortable and just look amazing, seriously look at them, aren't they beautiful?

Happily Ever After by Jordan Fisher & Angie Keilhauer

Unless you're a fan of Disney Parks, you wouldn't have heard this song. But it is the song for the new fireworks show that debut in May at Magic Kingdom, Walt Disney World. I've seriously been listening to it on repeat, love it so much. I'm sure fellow Disney fans get me.

Welcome to a new series of blog posts. 'I love' will be a post every month highlighting the things I've loved for that month - so yeah, it's pretty much a favourites post I've just titled it something different.

It will always include my top 4 favourite Instagram pics of the month plus my favourite song, anything else will be a bonus. This is really a post for myself to look back on in years to come and see the things that I once loved. Without further ado, here are the things I've loved in April ♥

Top 4 Instagram Snaps

Koala Mattress
I ordered and got my Koala Mattress during the month of April and it is the best damn mattress I've ever slept on. I literally come home from work and just want to lie down on my bed, forever. Sure, not going to lie, the first night I did have an uncomfortable sleep. But that's expected when you sleep on a new mattress for the first time. Since then I have only loved it more and more, it's like sleeping on a cloud...and yes, I'm sitting on it now while typing this, why wouldn't I be? I do love it after all.

Mermaid Inspired Nails
As featured first in my top Instagram snaps - my nails. I asked for mermaid nails and my nail tech did not disappoint. No really, how amazing are they! She is so talented and I can't thank her enough, it's going to be sad to see them go.

Big W Originals Collection
I had a whole blog post about how amazing this collection is and I spent far too much money but I don't care. All the pieces I bought were beautiful and I can't wait to wear them, especially that bomber jacket!

Song of the Month

Until We Go Down by Ruelle
I recently binged watched the entire first season of The Shannara Chronicles, and every time I heard the theme song I wanted to hear more. So I went searching for it and alas this popped up, such a good song with an epic drop, well in my opinion anyway.

What were you loving during the month of April?
